The Western Club jazzing it up to raise funds for The Canmore Trust
What a fabulous event, held on 24 November 2023. Thank you to Kim and Clive Schmulian for organising this great event and thank you to everyone who attended.

Our huge thanks to Angus Walker, Alastair and Charlie Russell who ran the 10k in Benidorm at the end of November 2023. They had perfect running weather in Benidorm and we’re loving the huge smiles on their faces.

One Man Walking, A Million Talking
John and team completed an incredible trek across the entire UK from Land’s End all the way to John O Groats in June 2022 to open up discussions nationally on suicide prevention and postvention. John was joined by his wife Isobel and his friend John on this incredible journey. Congratulations to everyone involved!
The wonderful Olivia Dunlop also recently completed a marathon in Glasgow in aid of The Canmore Trust. Congratulations Olivia, you did magnificently well.

Dora’s Tearoom
The wonderful Karen and Charlie Methven’s house became ‘Dora’s Tearoom’ for the day raising funds in aid of The Canmore Trust. What a wonderful tearoom complete with waitresses, Branston the butler and Nigel the carpark attendant, not to mention the utterly scrumptious scones, sandwiches and so much more that were served with applomb.

Helen and Pam in training
Below, Karen Brown and her walking buddies tell us a bit about who they are and why they do what they do:

“We are a group of 4 misfits who have come together through work. We range in age from 26 to 52 and have really built up a special bond with our kiltwalk adventures. We have created our own support network for our own difficult times. We have all had the pleasure of knowing or working with Isobel. Each of us have experience of mental health issues, either personally or professionally. From my own perspective Isobel was an amazing support for me at a very difficult time. I really appreciated that support and feel people will benefit hugely from the trust and the support you aim to provide. As a group we want to do our “wee bit” to raise funds and awareness of a very important cause. Through work we are aware of the increase of mental health problems within the community and recognise that the NHS alone cannot provide all the support required and charities such as the Canmore Trust play a hugely important role in helping people with their struggles.”
ANDREW RUNNING IN AUSTRALIA
